My name is Syarif Riyadi, also known as Iging. I was born in Bandung on the 21st of December 1980. I’m the first son of a perfect couple, Eddie Budi and Mariam Zanaria. I have only one brother whose name is Akhmad Yulianto or Anto. I am now married to a smart and beautiful girl, Desti Alkano.

I was born in the northern side of Bandung, Ciumbuleuit. I grew up there until I was 7 years old. Afterwards, from 1987 to 1990, me and my family lived in Jl. Jakarta. From 1991, me and my family, also with our other cousins and relatives, live in a small village on the western part of Bandung, called Cijerah.

Now, here I am. Trying to ‘find’ those naughty ferromagnetic oxygen. Working on my projects for my PhD degree in the group of Prof. Thom Palstra, Solid State Chemistry, Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands.

One more thing, I LOVE FOOTBALL VERY MUCH (more than I love physics). Let’s share every football-related story.
